Hey everyone,

I have a theory: Waterloo grants interviews to *every* applicant who meets the low-eighties-grade criteria.

I hope I'm wrong.

IF anyone applied to uWaterloo and didn't get granted an interview, could you give me a heads up?

If you're a little shy about it, I understand! Feel free to PM me.

Thanks in advance:

A.

Hey, I am not sure if you are right on this. I have had an interview already, but I know two others at my university that haven't been asked yet, and they have a high eighties, low nineties gpa. What makes you think this? If anything, I think they only grant interviews to people they see as being actual candidates for optometry school. The average GPA last year for entering year was actaully a high 80 (That's what a friend of mine who was accepted said anyways), and OAT score matters alot to them.

hmm ... they don't evey bother looking at your ECA, awards and all other stuff they made us provide proof for? (It took me a looooonnnggg while collecting all those 🙁 )

I don't know if this is true but I heard some people got asked for an interview exactly a week after handing in the application, while others only got asked for an interview a few days before the actual interview. This theory seems based on Waterloo looking at grades or application first, but I'm not sure. Did anyone get asked for an inteview just a few days before their actual interview?

It seem a little different this year, such that it doesn't seem like anyone's going to get accepted WITHOUT an interview like other years. Because the waterloo application used to state that "not getting an interview does not affect your application" while this year it said something like "if you don't get an interview its very unlikely you would be accepted" or something like that.

This is totally off topic, but OATeater, I noticed that you are a BSG fan! I frackin love that show!!!!
