I included a specific hobby on my personal statement, and was wondering if it was appropriate to also include the hobby in my AMCAS.

I would say go for it... just don't copy paste the segment from your PS into the activity description or vice versa

Sure you can. Well, maybe not if it's pole dancing. But use different words and provide new information.
