If you enjoy something like cooking, and can define it as your hobby, should you include it in your application? You do have to provide "contact" information and such for everything, right? What did you include for the activities section pertaining to the hobbies that you have?

Cooking is a fine and tasty hobby.
Just put a friend that you trust as a contact [then fill them in about what you did so they aren't caught off guard by the .0001% chance that a school calls aforementioned contact to confirm your interest in cooking].

With that said, my hobbies are confidential until further notice. 😀

On my app I used a activity block and just wrote something like Hobbies/Relaxation. Then I put N/A for the contact info.

In the description I just talked about some of the different things I like to do with my free time. My interviewers seemed to find it useful and almost all of them talked about one of my hobbies with me to break the ice at beginning of interview. (I had one who said his only reservation about my application is that I might die rock climbing or surfing before matriculation 😀 )

That would have forced me to say out loud "I'm not dead yet" in my best black knight voice.

I included the average pre-med ones to show I'm qualified to be a med student and then I included Surfing, hiking/camping, WWII history, Fixing up bikes, Drawing a Comic Book to show that I am qualified to be a real person
