I was placed on HOLD around the 3rd week of January. I called the admissions office and this is what they told me.
With rare exceptions, what happens is April 1 the admissions committee reviews all HOLDS and then decides to either place you on a waitlist or reject. You can get taken off the waitlist anytime up till the first day of class.
I was placed on HOLD in November and havent heard anything final or received any further correspodence. I know this doesnt tell you anything that you wanted to know.... but just let you know that others are in the same boat.
