hi everyone,

i was just put on "hold" for an interview for ucsd, which means that they will not be interviewing me right now, but may interview me in the future.

is anyone else in the same situation? also, does anybody know what that really means?. . .what are my chances of actually getting an interview?

thanks

I got that same email on 10/9 and haven't heard from ucsd since.

I don't know what this "hold for interview" really means, but I'm probably not going to keep my hopes up on getting an interview in the near future.

So far, I have a few interviews at other schools. I think UCSD is a great place, and woule love to interview there, but in the meantime I hope I can just get into another UC school (or any school!).

so, do they place everyone on a hold for an interview? or some people rejected immediately afer sending in their secondaries?

i had always heard that UCSD was about the numbers and so when i recieved a "hold for interview" i wasn't that suprised yet just irked. even if they wanted to interview me, i would refuse. i have heard how cut throat and unfriendly that school is anyways. five better schools have offered me interviews so they can just kiss my a--. i would rather go to UCD or hopkins anyways. so don't feel bad. i bet some people were rejected after the secondary. so screw ucsd. hehehehhe 😉
