Do schools really drop you from enrollment if you hold multiple acceptance by May 1st? Do they at least give the students a "warning" before doing so?

I heard (from a friend attending UConn, SDM) schools were going to start dropping applicants in the 2007 cycle if they find out you've already paid a deposit at one school and are purposely holding spots at other schools. I wasn't clear if this implied losing your spot at all of your choices or the remaining schools you have NOT paid a deposit on.

I heard that schools were gonna start dropping multiple depositors during this cycle (2006). But who knows..... I'd be careful though.
It'd s**k major a** if you lost your chance to start school this fall 'cause you were holding more than one spot. 😱

i heard from a dental school administrator themself that they were enforcing it this year. those that are holding more than one spots should take this as a precaution.
