Hey everyone,
I just had a question about preinterview holds. Can anyone approximate the percent of students on preinterview holds who actually secure an interview at mid tier schools. I am a little confused as if a school places a student on hold the first time when reviewing their file and they are provided with no additional information, what could change their mind so they decide to interview a candidate upon rereview?

Thanks

It depends on the school. A lot of time the thought process is probably something like: "You're not good enough right now, but if we start interviewing people with your stats, we might interview you too."

That definitely depends on the school. Each school's process of distributing and handling holds is different.

As far as I know, interview season is wrapping up. I know for instance that Michigan has given out all its interview invites and IU has one more interview date.
