I for the life of me cannot figure out hole punching. I can do it with paper obviously but I cannot do it mentally. Is there like a foolproof way to do it? Does anyone have any techniques to figure out hole punching? Much help is needed. Thanks.

Do you have CDP? I have found that utilizing the solution button helps the visualizing process. This function goes through step by step, first folding, then punching the hole, and then unfolding the paper.

When I took my first practice, I was getting about 7/15 of these right. Now, with my test a couple days away, I am hitting a solid 14 or 15 out of 15.

I also agree with the top post. Try using the tic-tac method it really keeps things in order. I too was getting really frustrated with that section of the PAT. Just keep practicing with cdp. It took me a day to really get a hang of it. Also, a lot of the time you really don't need to get all of the punches right, after getting most of them, you can look at the answers basically tell which one is right.

Could you guys explain more about the tic-tac-toe method please?
I did really well with this on paper but i became so slow on the computer. Thanks in advance.

Make a 4 X 4 grid with square boxes and start filling them in while unfolding the paper in your mind.

After a while you will get a hang of it and start filling them in faster.
