hey everyone, I will be a junior in the fall and would like help in filling some holes in my application come next may. please add anything to help me out!

gpa: 3.87 3.85 sci
dat: n/a
ec: pre-dental society president
weekly red cross volunteer
active member of a campus tour group
biology tutor
30 hours shadowing a gen dentist
8 hours of shadowing at clinic
25 hours of dissection lab work

feel free to add anything and give advice so I can work on it by may, thanks!
 
Looks great thus far man! IMHO, get a solid DAT score, and maybey some more shadowing or even assisting. Your EC's, leadership, and volunteering sound very good at this point.
 
38 hours of shadowing is pretty minimal. Since you have another year, I would shoot for 80-100, or more if you feel like it. 20 hours is the minimum for several schools, 40 for others, but the more hours the better. They like to see that you have spent enough time in an office to really know what you are getting into. With your stats though, I don't think low observation hours will hold you back; it's just something you can do to round out your application.

I would completely agree with this advice. Research experience was also brought up in my interview.
