I know that it's obviously to every students benefit to seal a few honors during the 1st two years if possible. I also know that there is a published study that showed that EM PD's hardly look at pre-clinical grades. But what is everyone's experience with this? How do honors grades (or lack thereof) affect an application? Can lots of honors really do something to boost an app? Are zero honors a problem? I tried searching this, but didn't get anywhere with it. Thanks very much for any responses.

My school gives a class rank, not sure about grades, in the Dean's Letter. I got around 1/2 or so of my interviews BEFORE the Dean's Letter came out.

Interpret that how you will.
