So my first semester grades are looking horrific
Chem I: A-
Bio I: B-
Calc I: C
Comp II: A-
Bio Lab: C or C+
Chem Lab: C
18 credits, ranging from 2.6 to 2.8 gpa first semester. I go to Fordham, commute four hours a day and work 22 hours a week. Should I drop pre-med now and pursue another career?

For starters, take less credit hours and why are you commuting 2 hours each way? Is there anyway you can transfer closer to home or move closer to school? Because that's a lot of unnecessary stress. One bad semester won't sink your app but you'll need to ace the next semester so that you can ideally have a 3.7ish by the time you apply. But first of all, figure out if medicine is actually what you want to do with your life.
