Has anyone had any terrible experiences yet? My worst was just traffic related going to and coming from an interview. I'm not used to big city driving yet. has anyone had a bad time at an interview?

Are you talking about the drive to Scholl and back for an interview?
Yes, driving to and from Scholl was a nightmare. Going 80mph into the morning sun, getting passed on all sides, traffic going from that 80 to zero in a blink of an eye for no apparent reason then zooming back again. Tons of construction. And of course I'm doing this in my work truck which is far from a highway sleek mobile. So, 4 hours for a 185 mile trip made me nervous I would be late for my interview. The interview process and school was great but on the way home I missed a turn and it took me an hour to get back on track. I probably sound like a dork behind the wheel. I hope it was all worth it in the end. I like the school.

I dont think u r from chicago, or else u wudnt had been suprised by our great tollway system. Jeez! i left like at 8:30am for scholl. from my home it is just 8 miles. But it took me 45 min on that tollway. and believe me if u visit that tollway between 11am-4pm. u wont even believe that it is the same road u took in morning. it gets so fast. i reach Milwaukee which is 87 miles from chicago in 50 min on my mustang![]()
Yeah, that travel sucks. I drive 27 miles to and from Scholl daily. It usually takes me 40 minutes (20 minutes for the first 7 miles) and (20min for the remaining 21 miles if I can hit about 75+). That is if its about 700am in the morning or before 300pm evening. (I-294 is not worth driving on between 3-6pm) I cannot believe the traffic jams they have. I think there is just too many people and not enough roads. With all of the forest reserves along I-294 I think they try not to build more roads, while expanding their populations. Another thing I hate about the roads are the stop lights at every intersection that will be on red for like 5 minutes each. Also food and gas are a lot more $$$ over here than MN or IA. About .70cents a gallon more and 10-15% tax on everything plus clothing.
In addition, they have no applebee's specials after 900pm. I used to get wings plus a beer for $4. Now they want to charge me $7 for wings and $3 for a beer. 😱 Now I just each subway everyday. However, if you drive to Schaumberg or Rolling Meadow, the subs are on average .50cents-1$ more per sub versus Mount Prospect or Arlington Heights. Now that is strange.
The one and only reason we have this disgusting traffic jams is bcoz of the great ILLINOIS TOLLWAY SYSTEM. i think its the most worst system. instead of tollway they shud just charge evry month from passengers some fee along with license plate fee. Bcoz everybody has to pay toll, they have to slow down and at 8am in morning when eveeybody slows down, the traffic slows down.
In neighboring Wisconsin, u will never find any traffic jam bcoz there are no traffic jams.
Travel and horrible chicagoans aside, do you like school at Scholl? Would you reccomend it to your best friend? And are the schedules pretty true to what they have given you. If it says that anatomy lab is done at 5, is it really done at 5?
I would recommend Scholl to anyone who is interested in Podiatry (my best friend definately doesn't want to do podiatry). The schedule is true, our anatomy lab is from 1pm-4pm and you can leave at 4pm or earlier if you are done. Most of the time my group leaves between 3-3:30. Physiology lab is also from 1-4 and we are usually out by 3 as well. Plus, you don't have lab everyday of the week, so it turns out not to be as bad as you would think.
I will have to agree with moll.
The schedule is not bad at all. It gives you plenty of time to get your homework done and study for tests.
And even some procrastination.............
