Yeah, I didn't see anything about a cover-up in the story. Questions about staff/patient ratios and safety procedures, but no cover up.

Not really a cover up and probably wise not to answer media questions that could lead to liability. Avoiding talking about is is not the same as covering it up. if they quickly moved the body to the icu and then documented cardiac arrest as cause of death, that would be a cover up. It also doesn’t sound to me like the patient was on a psych unit or psych hold. It is always hard to find out details of much of these events because of considerations of the patient and their family coupled with potential liability.
