For those of you receiving interview invites via email, do you use hotmail and are you having any problems receiving dental school's mail? I am curious b/c i use hotmail and i never received my supplemental application request from NOVA, then i called them a while later and they said they has sent it out like a month and a half ago. This causes me to worry that i may miss emails. Your experiences please

i had the same problem. i use hotmail and i never received Nova and Midwestern secondary apps. I called them today (so late) and they were able to give me the link and i got them filled out. Hopefully its not too late.

Are you guys checking your spam [bulk] folders? My Harvard letter [regarding my status] ended up in my yahoo spam mails for a month, and I found out about it after a month. It sucks. Be careful.

I didn't get any email from NOVA too.
My aadsas was mailed out on 6/16.
Took DAT on 7/8.

Are you sure it has something to do with Hotmail??
I hope not..........

well both schools told me that the email was sent late august but i never got it. not in my inbox nor in the spam mail. i dont know whats up with that. im just glad i called and got them taken care of.

make the switch to gmail. it'll change your life.

I use Hotmail, I have received everything

It might be your personal settings or there were errors. I have had no problems though.

thanks for the replies. i believe nova was the only one i flat out did not get in my inbox or in spam. I should at least get messages in spam if they are marked by my service as junk right? then i can just find em in the junk inbox?

Make sure you check spam section frequently! I use yahoo mail and there are times that my advisor's e-mail or other work e-mails go to the spam. I used to work both inbox and spam frequently. I persoanlly prefer yahoo and gmail over hotmail!

Just use gmail. Havn't had one problem.

If you're wondering, what exactly you're missing - two words: search function.

And this is really bad, but I have a total bias against people still using hotmail. My best friend still uses it and I always tell her that hotmail is for people who still type with two fingers.

Yahoo >>> gmail.

Yahoo = unlimited storage; fast
Gmail = several gigabytes?; slow

I didn't even know people were still using hotmail. Is MSN messenger still around?
