hourly wage?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have been offered 90-100 per hour over the past few months, for strictly outpatient MSK jobs with some EMG. This is in or around NYC, so this figure might be a little higher as you get away from the coast. These were all for part-time and temporary positions for a new grad, as I will be starting my fellowship in January and have 6 months to work after I graduate in June.

The above figure works out to be roughly 200K per year so not so bad. It does include malpractice but not benefits.

How much should an hourly wage be for a physiatrist doing non-internvetional MSK? Not sure if they will be paying benefits.

Short answer - as much as you can get. If you are employed and going hourly, you are not doing the billing, so you have no control over collections. You show up, do your work and go home. They control how many patients you see.

If they have a good payer mix, they can afford to pay more than if they have a crappy mix.

$75-$100 is likely a good starting place.
