Housing??? Away Rotations???

I'm thinking of doing a couple of away rotations What do you typically do for housing for the 4 weeks? I guess I will have to rent a car, but do the schools provide some sort of housing for us poor med students?

Program dependent, but from what I've heard most don't offer. Contact the programs directly and early. Can also ask if you can possibly swap with someone at that program.

I did 2 aways and had to arrange everything myself. I was able to get by without a car (biked, walked, used public trans), but some other students decided to shell out $800-1000 to rent a vehicle for a month. Used craigslist.com to find sublets. It was definitely a pain in the ass but well worth it after the match.
