With the minor change in Step 1 in May, how accurate are the NBME's in predicting your scores. I know responses would be anecdotal data, but in your experience, how predictive was it?

I took NBME Form 13 and scored a 209. I was FREAKING OUT!!!

Two weeks later, I took the USMLE, scored a 223. Take these exams with a grain of salt, honestly. Also, assume that UWorld is EASIER (not harder) than the actual exam questions.

I'm anxiously awaiting my score but I think most people say they are about as predictive of a practice test as there is. Of course nothing is going to simulate the real thing perfectly, but if you take 3 NBMEs (preferably the later ones, i.e. 15 - 17) and the scores are all very close to each other, I think its safe to say most of the time they predict well. I missed the same amount of questions (give or take one or two) on all three of my NBME's, so I expect that they should predict my USMLE score pretty well. I will say though, the USMLE I thought was harder, both because it was longer and the integration of disease states and physiology was more prevalent on the actual exam. There were more hard physiology concept questions

Scored 6 points higher than my highest NBME. Took it 1 week prior to my exam. I took NBME 15, 16, and 17.

What minor change are you referring to?
