I'm a junior at a small liberal arts school. I'll be taking the MCAT in January or march and I'm hoping for a score 510 or above. I'll be applying to med school this summer. My stats are...

cGPA: 3.88 and sGPA should be around a 3.80 AA female
My gpa should be about the same at the time I submit my medical school application

EC's: big brothers and big sisters mentor ~300 hours, mentor for another program ~50 hrs, volunteer at soup kitchen and WARM shelter ~40 hrs, clinical rotation intern ~100 hrs, play collegiate basketball (takes up most of my time), academic all American nominee, teaching assistant/ tutor for a math class at a state prison, emergency department volunteer at local hospital, research volunteer at my school and I did summer research this past summer no publications

I'm also a part of the prehealth society at my school and am a comentor for pre-med freshman and a member of the African society at my school.

Do you guys think I'm a good candidate for MD/DO?

You're in great shape! Just make sure you do well on the MCAT(give yourself plenty of time to study b/c that test is no walk in the park), and I think you'll have a stellar app. Good luck!

Excellent candidate!

Excellent candidate!

Thank you! I haven't taken my MCAT yet but my goal is 510. I'm a RI resident so no state med school. What medical schools do you think I should apply to this cycle?
