I would apply to 5-12 more schools with all of them being "Mid Tier" schools.

Maryland, Temple, Tulane, Rush, and Wake Forest are schools I would add.

I'll definitely apply to more schools (both mid- and low-tier). Any more thoughts?

I think you're OK. If the VA states schools don't accept you the I don't know who else would. You're a good candidate. Don't waste the money on more schools.

You have an odd grouping of schools. Would you really go to Wisconsin over UVa?

I'd get rid of BU, GW, Tufts, UM, and UW.

You look pretty good. You'd stand a decent chance at some of the more prestigious schools if you interview really well. Do you have any research experience? A lot of those schools would like some of that as well.
