Hi everyone,

Thank goodness I found this board! It has helped w/ so many questions I've had about med school.

I'm normally a lurker 😛 , but I wanted to put this question out there to anyone who might know:
How are nursing courses figured into GPA? For example, would they count as science or non-science?

The reason I'm asking is b/c I'm currently a nursing student (2 yr program) and I'll also be taking classes for my BS in Biology starting this summer. If all goes as planned I should be able to finish both my RN and BS in Bio within two yrs, then apply to med school at the ripe old age of 31. 😉

Thanks for your help!
Christine 😎

I have taken some classes with nursing students at two different schools...associate and bachelor programs. Although the classes did not count toward my bio degree, both were included in my AMCAS science GPA.
