I got my MCAT scores two days ago and it was not so great 🙁 I remember checking the "release to my own school" box and was wondering if my pre-med advisor would have already seen my score by now. I'm meeting with him tomorrow and just wanted to know what he would be aware of...

Do you guys know when and how the AAMC notifies undergrad health advisors of their students' scores?

I know when I got my score back in 2008, my advisor found out on the same day I did. I imagine they get a notification and can just log in or something...

Ugh my scores weren't great either. Last thing I need is some idiot advisor telling me that I won't get into medical school with them.

I always thought it was released for statistical reasons for the schools but they never really pay attention to individual scores.

It may depend on how the checkboxed statement is specifically worded...I can imagine scores being released to schools as an aggregate of all their students' results or individually depending on what exactly the statement says. Anyone know for sure about this?

the scores gets automatically released to your school if you checked the box. the advisors can download the scores the same day you can check them. my advisor congratulated me on my school when i went to see him the next day for something unrelated to mcat.
