I was wondering how are secondaries sent to you for most schools?

Do schools just email you? Or do they have an online portal?

Thank you!

hey! welcome to SDN!

I think you can find betters answers by using the search box function in the upper right hand corner. This will also be a great way to find more helpful advice in the future too. If searching and reading past threads doesn't help, you can also start a new one like you did today. I think you'll really benefit in the secondaries process by doing that though.

For the most part, you are emailed access to an online portal. Some schools emailed me a secondary form to fill out. Still others had a copy of their secondary on their website that you filled out and then uploaded to the portal, or cut and paste into the portal, or emailed back to them.

I did this years ago though.

You provide an email address when you apply using AMCAS. Schools will send secondary and interview invitations (and rejections) to that email address.

Hand delivered by courier

Then the courier waits for you to fill them out so they can take them back. Hence the importance in getting them turned around quickly.

But really OP, it varies depending on the school, but everything is communicated via email. Most send a link to a portal where you fill out responses to their question(s).

After you submit your AMCAS primary and it has been verified, your inbox gets flooded with secondaries for schools that don't screen. Schools that screen will send you a secondary after a small delay while they check to make sure your stats match up with their expectations. You should also keep a close eye on your junk mail folder, since sometimes secondary applications will mistakenly go there.

I love how this is filled with such sarcastic answers with serious answers mixed in...LOL the joys of SDN:kiss:
