Nope not at all! No one is gonna be offended. There are many other applicants who want that spot. As for the school, it is best if you cancel the interview at least a week in advance so that they have time to call other applicants to fill in that spot.
One thing thou, I would only cancel the interview if I knew I got accepted somewhere else. Otherwise, you might lose your only chance! 🙄
