how bad to drops look?

is it better to drop a class and re-take it, take the c or d and re take it?

I would say drop a class and re-take it since it will just show a W in your transcript. A W can mean that you had an emergency family issue, conflict in the schedule, or something came up that made you not be able to attend the class. Plus, it will not hurt your GPA.

I was in that situation.

I'm getting a C in biology right now. I have thought about dropping it for a while.

I am sticking with it is because I need to be full time student for insurance coverage.

I remember making a topic a while back asking about C's, and I've read that one or two will not hurt you. What if you retake it and still don't get the grade you want?

I figure I will apply with that grade, and if I get in then that's great, but if I don't get in I can retake it during the year I would be improving my application.

I am focusing on doing well in future, more advanced classes.

 take a D?? instead of a drop. who would want that. drops arnt too bad, only if u have like 7 or so. i mean it depends on ur reasons for dropping. i dropped about 3 classes for my entire undergrad but thats out of 100 credits or so plus i had reasons like it was Bush's fault i dropped 🙂 so its all good. ohh and no i didnt go to war i was jokin about it been bushs fault.
