Hello all,
I had just come back from my interview at UIC and I thought the nice thing to do would be to write thank you notes. I wrote a letter to the director of admissions but I sent it to one of my interviewers instead. I was going to send him the exact same letter, except with his name on it instead. I sent him one right afterwards, telling him to disregard the first letter. I also aplogized. How badly do you think I screwed myself over?

You probably did yourself a favor, it's hard for admissions staff to remember everyone they see. Now they know you which is more than most people have.

It's all good. Just let it go. I didn't even get an interview at UIC.

To the OP: I agree, you've already been accepted, so it won't affect that.

Secondly, we are ALL human, therefore we make errors. It's no big deal. Get used to feeling a bit humbled, that's what dental school is all about. It'll hit you after you get an exam score, or after your first prep is graded, or after you fail a wax-up. It doesn't mean you are incompetent, it means you are normal. 🙂
