Hey everyone, I'm taking a gap year and I'm applying this current cycle. My question is...how busy are we expected to stay during our gap year?

Currently, my plans are to:

volunteer at clinic 5 hours/week
work at my tutoring job 7 hours/week
do 5-10 hours/week of research

I really don't want to do more than that since I want some time to myself to play more tennis again and learn how to ski this winter (and just relax before the long haul). However, is it a bad thing if these are the only things I'm doing? Should I be putting in more hours or picking up additional medical/volunteer activities? Or is it OK if I just stick with these many hours and take it easy this next year?

It's not about the time spent but what you are doing. As long as you can talk about your experiences intelligently in an interview, you should be fine
