I'm asking for a friend (funny how every time I read these, I assume the person is lying, but I honestly don't know squat about dental schools...I'm premed)

-Texas resident, biology major
-3.3 sGPA
-3.5 overall GPA
-20 DAT
-300 hours volunteering in dental related things
-Officer in dental club
-1st gen college student
-female
-Worked multiple jobs all throughout college to support herself (like 40 hours+)
-Downward trend in GPA
-200 hours shadowing
-Good writer, so I assume her essays are going to be good

This is competitive. sGPA is a little low but her DAT is good. If her TS is in the 20 range she should be more than fine.

Downward trend is a blemish. Tell them pick it up in the coming semester, unless already graduated of course.

with a DAT of 20, the science GPA needs improvement.

unless the TS is 21+

Downward trend could possibly hold her back.
