I only started studying about a week ago to prepare to take the test in July (mid/end). I have a lot of work to do for it, but I'm also balancing my 4 classes - and now that it's getting towards the end of the semester, things are getting hairier. Do/Did you always stay consistent, even around exam times?

Also, if someone wouldn't mind telling me - how far in advance do you need to sign up to take the DAT? I know it's probably somewhere in the reading they give you, but I didn't find it right away and I don't have the time to go searching.

Thanks for the help!

Hey there, I am in the same position as you are. I was taking physics 2, Biology, Math, and ochem 1C ( the last one of the three at a different college). My suggestion is to focus on the DAT!!
I am going to drop physics 2, because I know that I could get an A or a B if I try really hard, and i got an A for the first one. However, I didn't get in this year, so i am planning to retake the DAT. Because of this, I will drop physics 2, and get a W, which i never had in my college life. I am taking biology for intro, math ( college Algebra) for QR and ochem, which are all relevant to the DAT. I think it will be best to take classes that are what is covered on the DAT. This is the reason of why I am dropping physics, it takes too much and it was harder than i expected. Because You can take physics after you apply to Dental School, which is not even part of the DAT.

IMO, do everything in your power to avoid having to balance them at all (study for DAT when not taking classes).
If this isn't an option, make classes easy during the time you do study the DAT.
good luck

I mean I don't have a choice. I'm in my last semester of college, the end of the semester is coming, I'm applying this cycle, and I'm planning on taking the DAT in July. On top of that I'm also going to be taking physics in the summer. Anyone?

I am applying this cycle as well an taking the DAT July 1...I am swamped with exams and worrying about finals in a couple weeks, so I have won't start studying until May, which is 2 months- plenty of time in my opinion. I did however buy the CDP program and have been working on PAT skills when I have some free time (which is seldom- maybe one night a week). What is your physics schedule like? Class everyday? Lab? With only one class in the summer, it can be done, but your after-class relaxation time will need to become DAT study time!

yeah, see, my problem is that our semester/finals don't end till 2nd week of may, graduation is on the 18th... physics over the summer is about 7 hours/day for MWF, just as bad as a part time job, especially when you take into account the time to study for it at home.

anybody?

I'm on the same boat, and I'm getting kinda worried. School ends for me mid June, so that only gives me about a month to study. I've been trying to get some study time in between classes and work, but it's hard.

the way i see it. Focus on ur classes and do well in them. Im taking the DAT this summer as well. However, im taking my orgo ACS final in may and im taking advanced cell biology. So im trying to get two birds with one stone.
Gluck Guys.
