How did I do?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Congratulations! You did great 🙂
Would you mind sharing how you prepared. My test is coming up soon and I'm having those breakdowns too.

Almost had a breakdown numerous times this last week...

but finished taking my DAT today.

I know my scores aren't the best but I'd like to know what you guys think 🙂

Appreciate any feedback.

Congratulations! Fantastic scores, and consistent. No low scores in any sections. With a sufficient science GPA you should have no problems getting interviews.

Wishing you the best.

Of course!

Kaplan 2012 Blue Book (2012 edition) - like many others, this is not the book you want to rely on. It's nice to give you a framework of what areas are expected of you but it's by no means sufficient or detailed enough to warrant reliance.

Cliffs AP bio 3rd edition (bought it for ten dollars on Amazon) - I picked this up a few weeks ago after constantly debating whether I should or not. After seeing questions in the DAT Destroyer that involved "laboratory" like procedures I decided to pick this up since my grade is far more important than 50 dollars or so.

Fortunately I managed to stumble across the hidden section of 3rd edition books that come new and aren't overpriced. Wish I knew that sooner... It's detailed and use alongside Destroyer is really nice.

By the way, one of my actual DAT questions involved "which type of selection selects against the extremes?"

This book has the graphs and the breakdown of each selection type! Thank god!

DAT Destroyer - Honestly my biggest savior. My exam was heavily based upon calculations and I spent ~8 weeks doing the destroyer front to back, probably 8-10 hours a day.

Crack DAT and PAT - I don't think I needed this at all... I honestly took maybe a few practice Orgo Bio and Chem exams getting 19s. I did a few PAT sections but I honestly felt somewhat comfortable with PAT. YouTube videos on pattern folding definitely saved me a lot of time on the real thing. The only thing I really took away from CRACK PAT was how to visualize the Keyhole better. I probably swapped boards out 3x during the PAT. I didn't want to risk points so I attempted to draw out structures whenever I could to help me stay oriented even though I would risk losing a lot of time.

*I spent very little time working on PAT. I knew it would bite me in the rear but I honestly couldn't shake the idea of doing poorly in the sciences and/or the QR RC. *

I also want to stress the use of Google. Don't rely solely on your books. If there's something you don't understand, google it, find a picture or diagram so you can actually see what's going on. The DAT is so random 🙁

Congrats and thanks for the breakdown. I am going through the Destroyer Bio now and also using Cliffs and hope I can hit at least a 20 on the DAT

Thank you for this detailed break down. I highly appreciate it 🙂

You did great, OP! Nice job!

@LittleKay Congrats on doing so well!! Question: What did you use for the QR?

I planned on devoting some time to Math Destroyer 2015 and DAT Destroyer 2015 but like I stated above, I wound up devoting most of my time to 98% sciences and very little QR and PAT.

So at the last minute I wound up just memorizing some basic formulas, angles and such and hoping for the best.

Unfortunately I didn't bother to remember what Secant, Co-Secant, etc correlated to and had 2-3 of them on my QR... lol
