Hi,

How did you guys study/remember dosage strengths? I can't remember them. 🙁 Are they really important in Naplex?

Thank you so much.

Have you ever worked in a pharmacy?

Do you know the LD50 of the "big" drugs? Normal dosing of at least the parent compound of each class?

The test is not designed to "trick" you - its designed to see if you know when a dose is too high, too low, or if you just did the math wrong (like moving a decimal place).

By working, you'd know that you can't give 150mg of celebrex - its only in 100 or 200mg and is a capsule with no liquid dosage form. But, if they asked you if 200mg qid is appropriate - hmmmm......the dosage form is right, but the frequency is wrong.

Try to look at it that way - that might help you study rather than study random "facts". Think "therapeutics".

Actually, I had a few trick questions on the test. Not on dosing questions, but I did have some trick questions that ppl could have easily not accounted for.

I had a question about the dose of a certain a1 inhibitor, I wont' tell you which 🙂
