Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has any good ideas about how to prepare for interview questions relating to healthcare issues? I've been trying to read "Healthcare Meltdown" by Robert LeBow...and it is sooo dry. Somewhat interesting at times, but not really holding my attention. Just ordered something on Amazon called Critical Condition: How Healthcare in America Became Big Business and ...." by Barlett and Steele, but am afraid it might be the same kind of read.
It's important stuff to know, I suppose, for interviews and in general. I've BSed my way through a couple of interviews, and hope to get a better handle on it before the next one...
Are there any good and informative websites?
News articles that stand out for you and make the topic more interesting?
Thanks!

dont bitch at healthcare. I found a way to see the light of healthcare (whatever good there is) but talk a bit about the common problems. Talk about whats misunderstood as well.

You know, the NYTimes and Newsday talks a lot about these things. you could read those.

A book that I like is:

Understanding Health Policy: A Clinical Approach by T Bodenheimer

A lot of that stuff is really dry. It's written by economists who have a one sided agenda.

Why not discuss these issues with a practicing doctor? I knew about all these issues at home because my Dad is a doctor. But you could cover all of them in sufficient detail in about 20 minutes.
