How different does the second cycle essay have to be

I am a second time reapplicant.

Obviously the first essay didn't work so I have to rewrite my essay. But I have a few sentences here and there that I really like from the first essay. Can I use those sentences again? Or should I make every word different because there's a good chance the adcom will be comparing my first app and my second app?
