if we have the DAT take in US. how high of the score is competitive for the admission for the Canada school? I have the Canada Residency. Thanks a lots.

Very few Canadian schools accept the american DAT (i believe Dalhousie is the only one, maybe McGill). You'd need to take the Canadian DAT to be eligible for admission at most. If you are planning on applying to both (which I did) take the Canadian on, because many american schools accept the Canadian DAT as well.

I know UWO and UBC take American DAT, unless you are Canadian. As for non-ontario schools, most seats are reserved for in-province students anyway.

u of t accepted class average GPA was 3.91ish for the last two years...
I don't think they drop any subjects either...
but they don't really require a lot of extra curriculars, or a personal statement or reference letter.. So i guess you could say they are looking for a very different type of candidate.

why am i not surprised whenever doc toothache has something to say about canadian schools

Doc toothache, as a dentist where do you find the time or desire to get on a pre-dental forum like this? Just curious..

Actually UofT drops the worst year 🙂

Take Canada DAT if you want to go to CANADA

Take US DAT if you want to go to USA

But, sounds like

CANADA--> USA > USA---> CANADA

Desire is not something you will find in the yellow pages. As for time, you always make time for the things you enjoy or are passionate about.

and you are passionate about 'dispelling myths' about canadian dental school to canadian applicants? ok then....🙄 Quite the interesting life you must lead day to day...😛

An equal opportunity "myth buster".
