How do adcoms view on summer classes at another 4-year university or college?

Hello everyone,

I decided to go into pre-med late and I think I have to take Physics II, one of the pre-reqs, at another 4-year university during this summer.

I have heard taking a pre-req at a community college could be an issue and
I was wondering if taking just one summer class at another 4-year university would still affect my chances of being accepted.

They view it the same way they view it for the thousands of times a variant of this has been asked on SDN.

One pre-req taken at a 4 year university in the summer is fine. Lots of people have reasons for taking a summer class somewhere else other than their undergrad. Certainly a red flag if all 3 summers filled with community college pre-reqs. And do not take any pre-reqs online.
