I have two scores. One bad.. 23, yikes, one pretty good, 30. How do you think that will affect my application?

It depends on the school. Some schools take only your most recent score, some schools take only your best score, and some schools take an average of all your scores. In any case, it would be beneficial for you to have a well-thought-out response to any potential questions about the differing scores on your 2 MCATs.

I took the MCAT twice (26 to 31) and no one ever asked me about it. Some schools treat the numbers differently, but there is no mystery about why you retook it if your first scores weren't that great.

30 is most recent

That is good then. The schools will compare the scores and see that you improved. they may ask you how did you raise your score. I was asked that at an interview. I wanted to say "luck".

Conragts on raising your score.
