I know...I know...dumb question, but I've never done this before!

I'm going to med school in another state, and I really want to get a roommate (maybe more than one), and I don't know how to coordinate this? Our Facebook group has a list of people who are interested in getting roommates, but how do we decide on a place if I'm so far from the area? How do I decide which roommate I will get along with?

Any tips?

Pick a person much closer to the area who can see it 😉. Additionally, a bigger apartment complex where some current med students live would be the best bet so you know it's decent. Talk to the potential roommates by texting or a video chat like skype/facetime and ask how they like to keep the house and see if they're normal. In the end, you might just have to fly out there and tour some places so you can decide. Try to get photos and a floor plan first if you want to avoid a trip out there.
