How do I find moonlighting opportunities?

I will be doing a research job next year and the state that I will be in allows you to get your MD license after 1 year of residency. Does anyone know how I get involved in this or how I go about getting a state license?

To get a state license, you apply to the relevant state board (see http://www.fsmb.org/directory_smb.html) after meeting their requirements and pay the dough.

For moonlighting, your fellow residents will be the best source of information.

Several places that I've consdiered for moonlighting will not hire someone who only has a year of residency. But, many urgent care centers will.

As you get further in your residency, more opportunities will open up for you to moonlight.
