I'm currently a P1 but i've never worked in a pharmacy before and i'm really nervous because I will be going on rotation this summer. I'm worry about going on my rotation (which will be graded) without any experience whatsoever. I'm not sure what to do. I'm thinking about trying to get a part-time job while in school to gain some experiences. Do you guys know any place that will let a current pharmacy student work 1 or 2 days a week only? I just received my Pharmacy Intern License, do you know if this will helped me land a job as a pharm tech?

rotation? you mean IPPE? rotations aren't til P-4

honestly, the first time I stepped into a pharmacy was a week before my first retail rotation (I started orienting at a hospital immediately before starting the rotation).

It's ok. Sometimes I felt a little lost but people understand that you're a student. It absolutely will not hurt anything for you to get a job as well, but you should be fine for your EPPE retail rotation.

I was able to work 1-2 days a week at a small hospital when I got my intern license, it was really nice and I learned a ton (got to sit in on some grand rounds, P & T, etc).

Thanks so much for all of your input. I'm going to apply for part-time tech jobs at walgreens, CVS, Target, Publix and Walmart and hopefully will be offered a job soon.
