I very much enjoy research, and would like to go to a med school that puts a lot of emphasis on it. Other than acing my remaining prereqs and doing really well on the MCAT, what do I need to do?
If I just continue as I am doing, this is about what it'll look like when I apply:
-Bachelors: Math (Hon: Phi Beta Kappa, distinction in major, magna cum laude)
-Masters: Epi (3.71 gpa)
-cGPA: 3.83 sGPA: 3.92 (If I get As in everything remaining)
-Research: ~3000 hrs (1 publication, 2 more in the works)
-Clinical Volunteering: ~300 hrs (100 hospital + 200 hospice)
-Clinical Employment: ~3 years (study coordinator for clinical trials)
-Non-clinical volunteering: ~200 hrs (teen mentoring program)
-Shadowing: ~50 hrs
