I very much enjoy research, and would like to go to a med school that puts a lot of emphasis on it. Other than acing my remaining prereqs and doing really well on the MCAT, what do I need to do?

If I just continue as I am doing, this is about what it'll look like when I apply:

-Bachelors: Math (Hon: Phi Beta Kappa, distinction in major, magna cum laude)

-Masters: Epi (3.71 gpa)

-cGPA: 3.83 sGPA: 3.92 (If I get As in everything remaining)

-Research: ~3000 hrs (1 publication, 2 more in the works)

-Clinical Volunteering: ~300 hrs (100 hospital + 200 hospice)

-Clinical Employment: ~3 years (study coordinator for clinical trials)

-Non-clinical volunteering: ~200 hrs (teen mentoring program)

-Shadowing: ~50 hrs

You'll need to ace the MCAT (>515 on the new scale). Your already have the research bona fides! That's it!

Do you have any specific schools in mind that fit your definition of research heavy? Thats what im pursuing as well and want to see if ive left any off my list. Our stats are relatively similar, although your gpa is definitely higher. Congrats on being such a well rounded applicant.
