I wanted to apply to med school last cycle but things didn't turn out like I wanted. In preparation to apply last cycle I asked one of my professors for an LOR. He took so long to write it I thought he had forgotten about it and I didnt care since I didnt intend to apply last cycle anyways. Now I have better faculty that know me much better to write one and I would really like his to be discarded. Unfortunately, the pre health committee has this bs policy that if someone turns in an LOR then it must be positive so include it, but I honestly don't want this.

How do I force them to discard it, shouldn't it be my decision anyways???

well looks like policy prevents you from discarding it. As long as its not negative, I can't see it hurting you.

You could always have your letter writers individually upload their letters through the AMCAS letter service.
