I am a first time applicant.

I recently submitted amcas with a throwaway school to get verification going. I am a 6/30 mcat test taker.

I heard it was good to start writing the secondaries ahead of time. Where do I go to figure out what to write?

Thank you!

Go to the beginning of each school's thread...as you start to read through, someone will have posted the prompts (questions) of the secondaries.

Are most secondaries similar for different schools ?
No, but there are some themes common to many schools, making it efficient to write a base essay on a theme and then alter it slightly to fit the precise question for a school. Be careful not to send out an essay with the wrong school name in it that you had written for another (happens every year and does not impress adcomms). About 95 % of the prompts are unchanged from year to year.
