How do LOR uploads work?

I am getting a committee letter, to which they will append a few letters as a letter package as well.

For schools where I may want to add additional letters, do the individual letter writers have to send them to AMCAS? Or...
Since my prehealth committteee has all of my letters, do you think they can upload it to AMCAS directly?

I havent started this process yet so if anyone has any insight into the letter assignment process that would be great as my school list is long and I would prefer not to ask my referees to do something so tedious.

1) Normally, a prehealth committee will upload all the letters they have. certainly they should reference what faculty they have heard from in the evaluation
2) if you have a committee letter, no matter how many individual letters are attached or not, it fulfills the requirement at virtually all medical schools
3) Adding individual letters along with committee letters can be confusing to the process, especially if these writers are referenced in the prehealth committee evaluation
4) why dont you just ask the prehealth committee to append ALL the letters to your packet
5) if they dont send all letters, you would have to ask writers to load them to AMCAS

So my school will append 3 letters but there are schools that can accept more than that and schools that limit total letters to 3 or something less.
If I append more letters to my school’s committee letter wouldn’t that exceed the limit at many schools?

Alternatively, if my school doesnt append more than 3, what should I do? Have them upload separately to each school? I am not using interfolio or any other service

1) Your Committee letter counts as SINGLE letter/package no matter how many faculty letters are attached
2) You need to fulfill EITHER Committee Letter OR Individual Letters
3) If you are filling Committee letter than individual letter minimums/maximums do not apply.

Aha! Would you say this applies to most schools?
