How do med schools look at undergrads who decide to change career plans midway through their college career and have a strong upward trend including pre-req's for the last two years.

How do they look at non-traditional's who have an average undergrad but then have a strong upward trend either through a post bacc or they take their pre-req's after they have graduated.

And how would they view someone who did a few years of school, decided to go back to school, and finish their degree and pre-req's with a strong upward trend?

In other words, regarding the AMCAS application, are they all viewed in the same way or is one scenario looked upon better than the other. Will they think that the second and third scenario are more "mature" due to the fact that their is a large gap between the average grades and competitive grades?
