How do Med Schools see your grades and major?

When applying to med schools, do they actually look at your official transcript, or do they look at the courses and the grades you list on the AMCAS application? Also, do you specify your major on the AMCAS, or do they get this from your transcript?

everything is provided by AMCAS to the medical schools.

Medical schools will ask for transcripts, but only from matriculants. Otherwise, the courses, grades, majors, all that stuff will be downloaded by med schools via AMCAS.
