For BCPM, do adcoms just look at your overall gpa and courses or would they notice if you retook classes and how you improved, if they were honors or not and all the specifics? Would they notice if you took Calc 2 and 3 and all the extras that are not required for med school? Would they notice if you were taking only 3 classes in one semester and got 2 C+'s (bio 2 and history) and an A- (Orgo retake)? Thank you.

They will notice all that. And if you retake, all attempts will be taken into consideration when doing the GPA calculation.

On initial screening they generally do not. On subsequent looks, especially after interviews, we do, but not to the extent and detail people think. It is more of an impression like "look, he did an engineering major at a good school and had consistent courseload, that explains the below average GPA" rather than "wow, he took the full sequence of math methods for mechanical engineering during freshman year along with orgo and orgo lab"
However, upward/downward trends are eminently obvious because we see the table with GPAs sorted by year

The details of the courseload are rarely looked at in depth, but they're there if things need to be clarified, like a drop in GPA.

We see everything in your transcript, the good and the bad, the big and the little.
