How do medical schools view two or multiple MCAT scores?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'd really like to know as well. I think almost every school I'm applying to considers the most recent one, though.

Which med schools take the average, the best of both MCAT results, and the most recent score? Is there a database where this information can be found?

I've got a priceton book on the best med schools - it occasionally says if they take the average or add up your best sections, etc.

Very few schools add up your best sections (maybe 3 or 4, I think Tufts does), but aside from that majority of them take best/most recent...

You would have to call each school to find out, but basically the options are:

1. Taking the best score
2. Taking the best score from each section
3. Taking the most recent score
4. Averaging all scores

So basically any combination possible. You'll mainly benefit if a school does #2.
