General How do projected hours work?

Are projected hours taken seriously? And what would be the general guidelines to listing EC's with projected hours?

They're not taken seriously; we just want to have an idea of what you're going to do with your time.

Not taken seriously. They'll probably ask you about them once you're at the interview stage, but won't help you get the interview.

Not gonna help since you haven't actually done them. I would guess MOST people don't actually fulfill their projected hours as they state on their application.

They are looked upon with as much seriousness as your practice MCAT scores.
