How do they calculate GPA's ??

Hey you guys I was wondering how to calculate my GPA so I can compare it to what AADSAS gets. I went to community college before so those units are semester, then I went to a UC so those units are quarter units. Do they just swith the semester units to quarter or vice versa or is there another equation that I don't know about anyone?

they go by semester units. so they'll break all ur quarter units into 2/3.

Could you elaborate this so what would happen to my 3 unit quarter class when converting to semester?

your 3 unit quarter class is:

3 quarter unit x (2/3) = 2 semester unit.
