How do you adcoms choose post-interview?

does it still strictly come down to the numbers? I find it hard to believe that your interviewer will remember EVERYTHING you said...unless they took very detailed notes. I was under the impression that if you got an interview that ur numbers weren't necessarily that important anymore..that the adcom believes you can handle their curriculum...so then what's the deal? If i'm wrong, and it still is solely a numbers game, i think i'm kind of screwed and have wasted a buttload of time and money getting to these damn interviews(which i'm surprised i got in the first place)....this whole process is cruel and unusual...very unconstitutional if you ask me haha. I believe in some schools, after your interview, your interviewer becomes your sponsor. The interviewers will talk about each candidate (their personality, personal qualities, answers to interview questions etc) and then the admissions committee will vote on whether to accept the candidate or not, so no....it's not strictly numbers
