MSAR tells you what percentage of students get financial aid.

When you get close to applying, and you have a tentative list, call the schools directly to narrow down the list.

Pick schools with low average debt for graduates. Also, FAP gives you free access to the MSAR.

It is kind of amazing at how some schools, a good chunk of students (ie 30%+) do not receive any aid to fund med school, meaning either they took out solely private loans or footed the bill themselves.
